Below is information for current and new faculty, OA's and staff.  We realize there may be new faculty who have yet to arrive or be assigned a uoregon email address.  If you are coordinating a new faculty member's arrival, please forward this information to them so they can put it on their calendars.  Please read this list thoroughly as there are a number of different events and RSVP's which may need a response.
UO New Faculty Orientation on Sep. 18th
New Faculty Orientation is a one-day summit for all new tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty at the University of Oregon. This event is designed to welcome you to the UO community, share the university's strategic objectives, and discuss key issues related to excellence in both teaching and research. You will learn about your new academic home, while getting a sense of the UO's priorities and the resources available to help you succeed. COE Welcome Lunch on Sep. 21st
The Dean's Welcome Lunch will take place, from noon - 1:00 pm in Kendall Plaza, so mark your calendars for this chance to mingle with faculty, staff, students, and friends, and maybe win one of our door prizes! COE Orientation on Sep. 21st
Immediately following the COE Welcome Lunch, the College of Education is hosting a new faculty, OA and staff orientation on Thursday, Sep. 21st, from 1:15 pm - 4:00 pm.  Please RSVP to Lisa Fortin at lfortin at uoregon.edu<mailto:lfortin at uoregon.edu>.
Provost's Meeting on Sep. 22nd
COE staff and faculty will have a chance to hear from the new provost, Jayanth Banavar in two separate meetings.  The Provost will meet with and speak to all faculty in a session scheduled from 9:00 -10:00 am. Following the faculty session, the Provost will meet with and speak to all staff from 10:30-11:30 am.  Both meetings will take place in HEDCO 220.
Convocation on Sunday, Sep. 24th, 3:30 pm
New Faculty
New tenure-track faculty will be introduced at Convocation and are invited to join UO's leadership and current faculty for a welcome reception prior to the ceremony. Please RSVP by September 15 by emailing Cora Bennett at corab at uoregon.edu<mailto:corab at uoregon.edu>.
During new faculty orientation, we will have a photographer take portraits of those planning to attend Convocation. If you do not already have your own regalia, please order yours from the UO Duck Store<http://www.uoduckstore.com/regalia-rental-form>.  The COE covers the cost of the rental.
Current Students
All UO students are welcome and encourage attend Convocation and welcome the Class of 2020.
Current Faculty and Staff
All faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the processional. Any member of the UO community who has a bachelor's degree or higher is invited to wear academic regalia for this event. You may place your order directly with the UO Duck Store.
