coe-staff: New Information Services service portal launched today (8/28): service.uoregon.edu

The UO information Services as of this morning has changed the system for receiving service requests. It is now called "https://service.uoregon.edu".

In the short term you should be aware that this will change how all UO users submit requests for support from IS. All requests to IS for support will need to be submitted via a webform (requires user's DuckID to log in) or by telephone (541-346-4357). Requests can no longer be initially submitted by email to the typical addresses UO Information Services email addresses that users have sent requests to in the past (techdesk, account, nethelp). Any emails sent to the old IS support addresses will generate an auto-reply message guiding users to the new service.uoregon.edu webpages and web forms.



Please note that this IS service change will NOT affect, at this time, how COE users submit tickets to our support queues. You can still email coe-support at ithelp.uoregon.edu<mailto:coe-support at ithelp.uoregon.edu> and coeit at uoregon.edu<mailto:coeit at uoregon.edu> as well as our other queues for Clinic, AV, and Web support. Basically, IT and AV support in the COE will continue to accept support requests in the same usual ways.

COE will adopt the new IS service portal once it is configured for all academic IT units sometime in 2018. we will provide more information later this year once a transition timeline is confirmed.
