coe-staff: Professor Leslie Leve's appointment as Alumni Faculty Professor in our college

Dear Faculty and Staff,


I am pleased to announce that the Alumni Faculty Professorship, an endowed professorship in our College of Education previously held by Professor Rob Horner, will now be held by Leslie Leve.  Leslie's work was judged by her faculty peers as far exceeding the new university standards for such appointments (The new guidelines for such appointments are posted on the Office of Academic Affairs web site).  I think that one of her colleagues reflected the assessment of many by aptly describing her career to date as "stunning."


We are all fortunate to work with colleagues of great accomplishment, dedication, and good will, and Leslie exemplifies our good fortune.
