Dear Faculty and Staff,

Please join me in expressing our appreciation to Lauren Lindstrom, Krista Chronister, Beth Harn, Ed Kame'enui, Audrey Lucero, Wendy Machalicek, Kent McIntosh, Benedict McWhirter, Joe Stevens, and Gerald Tindal for the arduous work required to create our new Tenure Track faculty Promotion and Tenure policy.

The committee work conducted by our staff and faculty during the last nearly three years as we have implemented our CBA has been enormous. I know that all of us will be relieved to have the major policy work behind us.

Please stay engaged in our workload policy development, refinement, voting, and approval processes. We have only two more major policies to complete and one month to go.

I look forward, as I am sure you do, to our upcoming "policy vacation".

Regards,

Randy

Subject: coe-staff: COE TTF Promotion and Tenure Policy Approved

Dear Faculty and Staff,

The College of Education Tenure Track Faculty (TTF) Promotion and Tenure policy that was revised and developed by committee in 2015 (Lauren Lindstrom, Krista Chronister, Beth Harn, Edward Kameenui, Audrey Lucero, Wendy Machalicek, Kent McIntosh, Benedict McWhirter, Joseph Stevens, Gerald Tindal) was approved by Academic Affairs and posted to their website this week.

The policy can now be found on the Academic Affairs Website https://academicaffairs.uoregon.edu/content/college-education as well as on our Governance Website https://coedocs.uoregon.edu/display/governance/Promotion+and+Tenure .

Note for implementation: According to Academic Affairs, "if there has been a change in written criteria for TTF Promotion and Tenure in the past 6 years, the candidate may choose (and should establish in writing) which criteria document will apply."

Please contact our COE Assistant Director of Human Resources, Amy Green or Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development, Leslie Leve, if you have questions about your eligibility.

Best,
Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann, Ph.D.,
Director of Administration
