coe-staff: NTTF Workload Policy Review and Vote -- Correction

The attached policy has been corrected. An inconsistency in the percentage related to service FTE was noted in the prior version. This version now consistently notes 20% or .20 FTE for full time faculty service.

Dear COE Faculty,

The NTTF Workload Policy Workgroup (Susan Boettcher, Tiffany Brown, Mark Van Ryzin) conducted a review and revision of the College of Education's NTTF Workload Policy, using guidance from Academic Affairs. This policy was previously submitted to and approved by Academic Affairs in 2015, and was re-opened by the Dean for follow-up review this year. The committee's revised policy is attached now for faculty comment and vote. Please provide any feedback you may have by using the Qualtrics survey https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6AptK45isiHvK9D  and recording your vote no later than midnight Tuesday, May 30th 2017.

Some of the major changes in the document are:

*         Removal of the calculator

*         NTTF standard teaching load is now an 8 course load or equivalent

*         Where possible we used same policy format as TTF for content (e.g., headers)

*         Course release section was updated and expanded to provide additional guidance around how course releases may be allocated as per UO policy

To provide additional support during your review, Brigid Flannery will hold an optional open Q&A session to answer specific questions you may have about the updated policy in advance of registering your comment and vote. This Q&A session will occur on Monday May 22nd, 2017 3:00 - 4:00 in HEDCO 240.
