***UO Asian, Desi, and Pacific Islander Strategic Initiatives Group (ADPI SIG)
Next business meeting is Friday, May 12, 12pm-1pm @ EMU 140, Rogue

ADPI SIG seeks to identify, increase awareness of, and suggest strategies for Asian and Pacific Islander issues through education, empowerment, and advocacy.


***UO ADPI SIG Award Night Ceremony
Monday, May 22, 6pm-8pm, EMU Ballroom

Co-sponsors: College of Education. the COE Family & Human Services Program, and others

The purpose of this yearly event is to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month by recognizing the outstanding leadership and advocacy of students, faculty, staff, and community members who have contributed to our campus. This year's theme is, The Faces of Activism, and performers, activists, and speakers throughout the community will be invited.

***Asian Pacific and American Heritage Month Events on the UO campus can be viewed at https://inclusion.uoregon.edu/apahm.
Highlights include:
Diversity Career Night - focus on underrepresented students and connections with employers
Cassey Ho - award-winning fitness instructors and creator of Blogilates to speak
I-Night - largest international event of the year with performances, food, etc.
Dante Basco - poet to speak and perform
