coe-staff: Ranked among the best Colleges of Education again

?Dear Faculty and Staff,


The latest U.S. News rankings of Schools of Education were released this morning.  We are virtually unchanged with a rank of 14th overall, 6th among public institutions, and 3rd in the Special Education specialty rankings.  We will be distributing a press release about the rankings this morning.


We continue to collaborate and compete with the best education schools in the world for research grants and contracts, faculty, staff, and students.  We are, for example, ranked just behind NYU's Steinhardt, UT Austin, and ASU, and in front of Michigan and USC.


Although this accolade is well deserved and hard earned, we are not standing still.  Our new faculty hires over the past three years are second to none, our research performance is at record levels, and our donors and supporters are confident that we will aspire to the highest levels of achievement in research and knowledge generation; classroom instruction and faculty mentoring of the next generation of citizens and scholars; service to the improvement of societal institutions, individual's lives, and academic disciplines; and continual improvement our culture of equity, inclusion, diversity, and respect.


I recommend that you to take a moment to reflect on your many and varied achievements.  And I thank you for engaging with our community as we move to the highest level of accomplishment.
