Hello COE Faculty, Staff and Students,
This is a reminder to join us for the following colloquium presentation by a candidate for the tenure-related position in the Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department.
Title:
Adolescents in the Family System: Developmental, Intervention, and Future Considerations
Greg Fosco
Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University
WHEN: Tuesday, March 7th
PRESENTATION: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
WHERE: HEDCO 230T
Greg Fosco will be presenting on his work exploring family systems principles in action during adolescent development. He will draw on selected works from his program of research as illustrative examples of the utility of systems principles for family research and how this can guide the development and evaluation of family-based interventions. Then, he will share some recent work applying intensive longitudinal methods that offer new insights into the daily lives of adolescents and their families. Finally, he will explore the potential for application of these methods to family-based interventions.
Greg Fosco is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. He received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University and training in Family-Centered Prevention at the University of Oregon. His research follows two inter-related lines of inquiry, focusing on family models of adolescent development and the application of these models to studying family-centered preventive interventions.
