coe-staff: Seeking Award Committee Members

Hello,
Each year we take some time to appreciate excellence amongst our staff, faculty, and students.  However, in order to do this, we need members of the COE to participate on the faculty and staff awards committee.  Several of last year's committee members have agreed to return, but we have a few openings.  This is a great opportunity to participate in a committee with a manageable time commitment.  The process is straightforward.  Once we've gathered our award nominations, I'll send them to the committee to review.  Then the committee will get together for a 2-hour or so meeting to select our recipients and that's it!  Committee members are unable to be nominated for an award.

Please let me know if you are interested in one of our available openings.  We need one faculty member, one classified staff member, and one officer of administration to fill out the committee.  Please email me back if you are interested.

The current committee:
Faculty:  Dianna Carrizales-Engelmann (returning); Need one additional faculty member
Classified Staff:  Denise McKenney (returning); Need one additional classified staff member
OA:  Leslie Stephenson (returning); Need one additional OA
GE:  Emily Mathis (returning)
Undergraduate Student Employee:  Emma Baker (new)

I'll be putting out the form for nominations for the staff awards next week.  The award recipients will be announced in April and we will honor our awardees at staff awards event, to be held Friday, May 19, so mark your calendars!
