Rhonda Nese, PhD, is a Research Associate within Educational and Community Supports at the University of Oregon. Her research focuses on preventative intervention strategies, including alternatives to exclusionary discipline, bullying and harassment prevention, and effective classroom behavior management, all delivered within the framework of school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS). For the past seven years, Dr. Nese has been providing technical assistance on PBIS practices to state, district, and school level teams across the nation through the National Technical Assistance Center on PBIS. Additionally, she serves as the Project Coordinator for an IES-funded Goal 1 grant exploring sustainability of school-wide PBIS. Dr. Nese is currently a member of the Disproportionality Workgroup within the National Technical Assistance Center on PBIS, dedicated to enhancing equitable practices in schools through assessments, trainings, interventions, and policies. Dr. Nese also serves on the editorial review boards for Behavioral Disorders and the Journal of Educational Research Online, and has published her work in high-impact journals including School Psychology Quarterly, Children and Youth Services Review, and Prevention Science. Prior to receiving her doctoral degree, Dr. Nese worked as a school psychologist in the Washington, D.C. Public Schools. CV is attached for your reference.
