This information was sent out to students yesterday and we thought we'd also let the staff know.

Hello,
We've had a number of questions in the last few days in regards to Commencement, so I thought I'd put out what information I have at this time. The main UO Commencement Ceremony and the College of Education Commencement Ceremony will both be held on Monday, June 19, 2017. Exact times have not been published yet, but the UO Ceremony is generally in the morning and the COE ceremony is in late afternoon.

Our COE ceremony, where you walk across the stage and have your name read, takes place in Matthew Knight Arena. Because there is plenty of seating, no tickets are necessary and you can have as many family and friends attend as you wish. The Duck Store will have a Grad Week at the beginning of April where you will be able to purchase your cap and gown, diploma frames, invitations, and that type of thing.

We have a Commencement website which will be updated as soon as we receive information from the main UO commencement office. This should be by mid-March at the latest. The website is located at: https://education.uoregon.edu/dean-office/commencement I'll be sending out an email to all COE students when we get updated information posted on the site.

Until then, feel free to stop by the Student Academic Service office in HEDCO 130 or email me with your questions.

Thanks,
Lisa
