Language Interaction in Early Bilingual Development

Stephanie DeAnda is a Latina scholar interested in the sociolinguistic and cultural factors that influence language acquisition in populations that have been traditionally underrepresented in research. She is interested in methods to identify differences vs. disorders. She will complete her PhD in a joint Language and Communicative Disorders program at University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University. She is concurrently completing her clinical fellowship year as a speech language pathologist and will receive a Bilingual certificate.
