coe-staff: Congratulations!

Dear faculty and staff,

We are proud to share news about the success of College of Education faculty in securing record levels of external funding this past fiscal year (July 2015 - June 2016). As detailed in an Around the O Story (https://around.uoregon.edu/content/faculty-propel-coe-external-funding-record), faculty in our college brought in over $42M in grants and contracts this year to conduct research, outreach, and graduate student training activities. These impressive numbers build upon a long history of research excellence in our college. For example, over the prior 10 year period, the UO has received more grant funding from the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) than the entire state of California! And the contents of the graphic below demonstrate how we are setting the bar even higher for ourselves.

Securing grant funding is no easy feat, particularly in the current funding climate. Your research and outreach activities have benefited thousands of children, families, and schools and led to countless innovations in education research. Just as important is our commitment to and investment in our college's academic mission.

Thank you for your hard work and contributions to the success of our College and the UO. We look forward to building on our research and academic excellence as the new academic year begins.
