coe-staff: Policy Brief by Gina, Ilana, and Sylvia

Dear Colleagues,

I wish to make you aware of some additional, unplanned, service work provided by your colleagues this summer. I asked Gina Biancarosa, Sylvia Linan Thompson, and Ilana Umansky to bring their significant and diverse expertise together to create a college response to Oregon's proposed Dyslexia implementation rules (SB612, HB2412, HB2015), which will be considered by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) later this month. With the additional input of Beth Harn and our governmental relations staff, Libby Batlan and Hans Bernard, they crafted the response attached. And, to be clear, your colleagues did the work and I was merely asked to serve as signatory.

I appreciate the willingness of everyone to contribute their expertise on such short notice.
