Faculty-in-Residence

CoDaC, the Center on Diversity and Community, seeks proposals for Faculty-in-Residence for the 2016-17 academic year. There will be two positions. The Faculty-in-Residence program provides support for faculty to pursue scholarly interests in equity, inclusion, or diversity topics. We aim to support a diverse group of faculty scholars representing different racial, ethnic, gender, disciplinary, and rank-related backgrounds.

Eligibility: Current UO faculty with tenure-related appointments.

Compensation: A course release (up to $8K plus OPE) or overload pay will be negotiated with successful candidates and their Departments.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2016

Application: In no more than three pages, address these issues:

1.      How the project advances the work of equity, inclusion, or diversity, with a focus on a particular strategy in the IDEAL framework.

2.      The innovation of the project as it relates to IDEAL.

3.      The sustained impact of the project in moving IDEAL forward.

4.      Project design including evaluation of outcomes

5.      Timeline

Responsibilities: The Faculty in Residence will be expected to: (a) participate in CoDaC meetings and monthly Division of Equity and Inclusion all-staff meetings to discuss the progress on their project; (b) participate in DEI-sponsored workshops or programs during the term that they are a faculty in residence; (c) make a presentation of the project during Spring Quarter; and (d) write a final report on the project due at the end of Spring Quarter.
