coe-staff: Faculty and Staff meeting follow up

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Thanks, again, for attending yesterday. However, I felt as though I left the meeting without providing some needed clarity, so I will try to do so now.

Our college has an enviable and field leading reputation for bridging the gap between research and practice. We are, in fact, the object of envy and respect by our peers for our ability to provide more than mere dialogue - but also implementable models, methods, and measures that create needed societal change. My specific question for us going forward is rooted in this strong tradition.

How do we bridge the gap between research and our curricular offerings in the interest of serving society better, and creating greater financial stability for our instruction, research, and service missions?
