coe-staff: Welcoming students, new faculty, and visitors

Good Morning,

The dean has asked me to create a “Welcome to the COE” video, starting with his own welcome and continuing with as many others as we can get – faculty, staff, and students. I need to finish shooting everything by early next week, but I need your help.

All I need is for people to look into the camera and say some variation of, “Hi, I’m __________ and I’m a faculty member in ____________. My work focuses on/I’m studying/I make welcome videos about _____________. Welcome to the College of Education!”

That’s it. Five minutes and you’re done. If you want to throw in “Go Ducks!” at the end I can try and get that cleared with management, though as Daphne Zuniga said, spontaneity has its time and place.

If you’re already planning to come get your photo taken or updated with Aaron on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 4-5 p.m. in the Lokey breezeway, I’ll be there so you can kill two birds. I’ll even stay a little late so I can catch you when you’re walking out. Otherwise, if you’re willing to help out and are just around during general windows of time when I can come by wherever you, please let me know. My goal is to make this impossibly easy for everyone. If I get desperate I may show up in your office and guilt you into doing it right then and there.

If you have students hanging around or even just available, please put me in touch with them.
