MEMORANDUM


TO:                ALL CAMPUS BUILDINGS

FROM:           Debbie Cadigan, Campus Relations Manager, Campus Operations

SUBJECT:     Campus Wide STEAM SHUTDOWN

Beginning Monday, September 14th at 7:00am until Monday evening, September 14th at 7:00pm, steam will be shut down to campus buildings receiving steam from our plant. This includes buildings on the main part of campus. This does not affect off-campus buildings or buildings north of the river such as Autzen Stadium and the athletic complex.

The purpose of this shutdown is for annual service, inspection and replacement of valves..
Work will be performed by Campus Operations staff and a contractor.

There will be no hot water in the kitchens, restrooms, shower rooms or custodial closets. There will be no access to autoclaves. There will be no heat to the buildings nor will steam kettles be operational.

If you are the primary building manager or departmental contact, please forward to your building users or departmental staff.

We regret any inconvenience this shutdown may cause you.  If you have any questions, please contact Mo Soleimani, CPS Maintenance Supervisor at 6-2213 or Tony Hardenbrook, CPS Plant Manager at  6-9007.
