Are you curious about all the painted images posted around the Clinical Services Building?
Come learn about these paintings, which will be installed on Monday August 17th. Ed Wong, a University of Oregon graduate, was commissioned as an artist in residence at the Eastern Oregon Training Center in the 1970's . He created a series of figure studies of individuals with developmental disabilities who lived at the training center. The paintings were displayed there until 1991, and then moved to various locations in Salem and Portland after the training center closed. Two paintings are currently in the state capitol. There will be a brief presentation on Monday, August 17th at 2:00 in room 145 with cake and beverages. Come recognize the lives of people who lived in institutions such as the Eastern Oregon Training Center for individuals with disabilities. Let's celebrate the progress Oregon is making toward improved quality of life for all people with disabilities
