coe-staff: TSPC accreditation extension

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am writing today with information about our accreditation timeline associated with educator preparation program approval by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC). At the request of numerous faculty and staff I requested a one-year extension of our accreditation timeline from the TSPC. Our request was granted at the TSPC meeting last week.

We have accomplished much in preparation for TSPC accreditation, and I am grateful for your efforts. Now we can focus our efforts of refinement, improvement, and creation of field-leading continuous program improvement work that will be a credit to the stature of this institution. Please extend my sincere appreciation to your staff for their extended work effort on the TSPC Review this past year. With this extension, program teams will only have to make refinements to their TSPC review during this upcoming year. More importantly, our program staff can focus on edTPA implementation and other learning outcome matters rather than focusing considerable effort on preparing for a TSPC site visit.
