Dear Colleagues:
Please circulate this announcement widely to your units, faculty and staff --
Applications are now open for the following Global Oregon Summer 2015 Grants, from the OIA Global Studies Institute:
Global Oregon Summer grants for UO undergraduate students<http://gsi.uoregon.edu/content/2015-global-oregon-undergraduate-award>
The Global Oregon Undergraduate Award -- ten awards at $500 each to support undergraduate global education experiences (for example, intensive study abroad, international internships, international research opportunities, participation in international events, or other international activities that support the student's professional and career goals). While many awards have historically been given to support research conducted outside the United States as part of an undergraduate honors thesis or other major written project, the review committee will consider other activities that engage the undergraduate in original investigation and analysis of significant international phenomena. The deadline to apply for this grant is MONDAY, APRIL 6.
Global Oregon Summer grants for UO graduate students<http://gsi.uoregon.edu/content/2015-global-oregon-graduate-award>
The Global Oregon Graduate Research Award -- five awards at $2000 each to support graduate student international research (for theses, dissertation, or other appropriate projects that advance the academic and professional goals of students). While awards are most commonly given to support thesis or dissertation research conducted outside the United States, the review committee will consider other activities that engage the graduate student in original investigation and analysis of significant international phenomena. The deadline to apply for this grant is MONDAY, APRIL 6.
Under the auspices of Global Oregon, the Translation Studies Working Group (TSWG) invites applications from UO undergraduate students for two $500 awards and from UO graduate students for two $1000 awards . The deadline to apply for both the graduate and undergraduate TSWG grants is Monday, April 6, 2015.
