Hello Keith!
Julie Heffernan met with Jeanne Stone and I this afternoon to try out the technology for the Task 4 local evaluation event (Friday, February 6) and to discuss some of the logistics.
Julie and Jeanne will finalize the tech process and Jeanne will work with SCALE to finalize the presentation contents and materials.
At this point we need your assistance to publicize the event with other Oregon programs and send Pai Rou from the SCALE team (prchen at stanford.edu<mailto:prchen at stanford.edu>) an RSVP list by Monday, February 2. Once we have the RSVP list we can send participants the log in information and an invitation to Box where they will be able to access secure materials in advance of the meeting.
Here is a blurb for the announcement for you to send out...
As follow up to the edTPA local evaluation workshops conducted in Oregon in December, elementary faculty in Oregon are invited to attended a webinar based workshop on Task 4 of the Elementary edTPA handbook. The webinar will be held on Friday, February 6 (***insert time after confirmation from Jeanne). Jeanne Stone, Task 4 scoring trainer and National Academy Consultant, will be the presenter. Participants will be provided with a walk through of a Task 4 sample and be engaged in a discussion of evidence related to rubric performance categories. To maximize interaction, faculty are encouraged to join the webinar with a partner from their campus.
Please RSVP for this event by contacting >>>>>>>>> by Friday, January 30. Participants will be sent login information and an invitation to Box to access secure materials by end of day February 3.
Jeanne is cc'd here so she can provide the start and end times for the event. Pai Rou is cc'd so that she knows that she will need to send out the Box invitation and link to all on the RSVP list. Julie will need to send Pai Rou the log in info before Feb. 2.
Lastly, Jeanne is representing SCALE for this event. I will call you to discuss how Jeanne's time is compensated. No travel expenses for this one!
Hope all this makes sense to everyone and represents the discussion we had this afternoon. Please reply with corrections or suggestions for anything that is unclear.
thanks very much,
Andrea
