All,
As a result of the Heartbleed SSL vulnerability, UO information services will send out requests for all users to change their Duck ID password. For the COE, the announcement will happen this afternoon (4/16).
This request is in response to the Heartbleed SSL vulnerability, publicized earlier this month. Having users reset their Duck ID password is meant to proactively safeguard credentials and data.
The First audience to receive this notification will be UO employees which includes Faculty, Staff, and student employees.
The process for setting a new Duck ID password will not be any different from the usual six-month password reset we all need to perform. Changing your UO password should always be done at https://duckid.uoregon.edu/
Please keep in mind that setting a new password, you will need to restart you work computer. You will also need to enter this new Duck ID password in any smartphone, laptop, tablet or wireless device that uses your Duck ID to gain access to the UO's wireless networks.
We will provide more information about what you steps your should take after a password reset at:

Sincerely,
jeff
