coe-staff: Senate notes 3/12

Hi Colleagues - The Senate meeting this past Wednesday was rather easy on my note-taking skills as ¾ of the agenda was postponed until the next meeting.  The elections of a Senate VP who would serve until the end of the school year and then become the president took over an hour and the approval of an environmental policy took up the rest of the time.  Some very controversial motions involving athletics were postponed, as were a number of interesting reports that are posted on the Senate website, http://senate.uoregon.edu/.
