University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities presents:

90by30 Initiative

Building Bridges: Connecting Communities

to Prevent Child Abuse

Please join us for a free noon lecture and discussion:

Friday, March 7, 2014 12:00pm-1:00pm

Room 145 of the Clinical Services Building

90by30 is an Initiative of the COE's Center for the Prevention of Abuse and
Neglect. 90by30 is a Lane County initiative working toward dramatic
reduction in child abuse and neglect (a 90% reduction by 12/31/30). We draw
on public health, collective impact, primary prevention, and
research-informed strategies with an intention of more fully aligning
efforts for systemic, local change. Discussion will include this initiative,
our assumptions, how we're organized, what we're working to do and have
done, and why we believe a significant reduction in this complex social
problem is attainable.

Dr. Jeff Todahl, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Counseling
Psychology and Human Services Department (CPHS), College of Education, at
the University of Oregon. He has served as Director of the University's

Graduate Program, and as CPHS Interim Department Head. He is the Director of
the newly established Center for the Prevention of Abuse and Neglect in the
College of Education.
