coe-staff: Presidential Research Lecture with Dr. Edward Kame'enui - October 30, 2013 at 7pm

Please join us for the Fall 2013 Presidential Research Lecture tomorrow night, October 30 at 7pm in 182 Lillis Hall.  Edward J. Kame'enui, Dean Knight Professor of Education and Founding Director of the Center on Teaching and Learning (CTL), will examine the importance of the materials that teachers use in schools in preparing our children for academic success.  Dr. Kame'enui will discuss how the "architecture of instruction" - the design and engineering of the program of instruction - can initiate a causal chain of escalating positive or negative side effects, especially during early developmental years.

Introductory remarks will be made by President Gottfredson.  The lecture is free and open to the public and live-streamed at:
