Critical Thinking Skills Workshop: Transforming Good Students to Great Learners

Do you feel like you are working hard in your classes but not earning the grades you were hoping for? Then this workshop might help you! Join our workshop that teaches you how to think more deeply about your coursework so you can actually REDUCE the amount of time you spend studying. The College of Education Tutoring Services will teach both graduate and undergraduate students strategies to work smarter, not harder in this 2 hour workshop. Students are encouraged to bring something that challenges them such as a confusing course syllabus or a textbook/course reading they are assigned. Have questions about mastering APA (American Psychological Association) style for your papers?  This workshop will help you learn to create properly spaced documents, insert headers and create a properly formatted cover page.  In addition, you will learn how to cite valid research sources in the body of the document, tying those citations to the correctly formatted source listed on the reference page.  The workshop will also help you learn how to navigate the APA manual and where to find online APA resources.
