coe-staff: Department Head Changes and Updates

Greetings COE Community!
As we enter the final stretch of summer and prepare to start the new school year, I would like to share a few updates regarding department head leadership:

  *   In Education Studies, Jill Baxter has agreed to become department head when Edward Olivos steps down at the end of this summer.
  *   In Educational Methodology, Policy and Leadership, Charles Martinez became department head this summer subsequent to Aki Kamata's departure.
  *   In Special Education and Clinical Sciences, Christopher Murray became department head this summer subsequent to Cindy Anderson's departure.
  *   In Counseling Psychology and Human Services, Benedict McWhirter is returning as department head after a much deserved year-long sabbatical, during which Lauren Lindstrom served as interim head.
It isn't said often enough, but their service is invaluable to the college and reflects their commitments to this place, our students, and our faculty/staff. Please join me in thanking them.
