Dear COE Faculty & Staff,

The Department of Educational Methodology Policy and Leadership encourages you to pass on the following information to any students who you think it may benefit. This Spring 2013 we are offering a course by Marcus Widenor, a retired faculty member from the Labor Education and Research of UO. This three credit 607 seminar titled, "Labor Relations in Public Schools" is an optionally graded course that focuses on the relationship between school administrators and teacher unions. This seminar is designed for teachers, education administrators and other education policy professionals.  It introduces students to the dynamics of the labor relations system in public education, with a focus on how it functions under Oregon's Public Employee Collective Bargaining Act (PECBA).
