The Holden Center invites applications for the 2012-2013Community Service Grant. Made possible by the Kilkenny Service and Leadership Fund, each of five student grants provides up to $1,000 of funding for student-driven, direct-service initiatives that address pressing social issues in the Eugene/Springfield area.

The mission of the grant is to engage students, faculty, and community members in learning together through community service and civic engagement. Projects should engage a strong community partner in work to be done off-campus. Students should collaborate with their community partner to design a project that will increase the capacity of the off-campus organization to fulfill its mission, and will have lasting impact.

Applications will be due on February 15th and applicants must attend a mandatory consultation regarding their proposals by February 8th.
