coe-staff: Invitation to Join the Employee Charitable Fund Drive

Happy Holidays, everyone:

The season is upon us, and so is the annual statewide employee Charitable Fund Drive (CFD).  Last year we raised over $200,000 to support non-profit agencies doing charitable work in our community and across the state, and this year we are looking to at least match that number.  The State of Oregon has partnered with over 800 local agencies that provide direct service to our community's most vulnerable members, and you can make a substantial difference for a relatively small sum while ensuring that your gift is targeted exactly where you want it to be.

Several options are available for giving: you can make a one-time or recurring gift with a credit card, spread your gift out over the year through monthly payroll deduction for all or part of 2013, or write a physical or e-check.  An option is also available to donate anonymously if you so wish.

The preferred method for donation is the website http://ecfd.oregon.gov.  Be sure to sign in as a University Employee and indicate your affiliation.  Your employee ID# is your username for this process and your password can be easily retrieved if you have pledged in prior years and misplaced it in the interim.  I am available to answer any questions on the process/interface or provide information on the agencies with which we work, or to offer paper forms for those interested in pledging via physical check.

The Charitable Fund Drive will be open through the end of the calendar year, so please join us in helping to make this holiday season a good one for Lane County and the rest of Oregon.
