coe-staff: COE Faculty/Staff Meeting Tomorrow: 3:00-4:30pm in the EMU Gumwood Room

Members of the College of Education Community:

We received a shock last week when we discovered that a member of our community had been arrested by the Eugene Police and UO Public Safety.  I know that many of you have questions regarding both what is now happening and what will happen in the coming months.  While there is still limited information at this time, it is important for us to come together in order to ensure that your questions and concerns are addressed to the extent possible.

I have asked  Doug Park of the UO General Counsel's office; Carolyn McDermed, the Interim Police Chief for the University; and Linda King, the Associate Vice President for Human Resources, to join us tomorrow, November 6th, from 3:00 to 4:30pm in the EMU Gumwood Room (adjacent to the ballroom) to outline what to expect as we go forward and to respond to your questions.  I hope that you will be able to attend, and I apologize for the limited forewarning on this meeting-it seemed important to me that we gather as soon as possible.
