Subject: Electrical Construction Activity- THURSDAY & FRIDAY AUGUST 16 & 17

August 15, 2012

TO: Campus BUILDING USERS:

FROM: Debbie Cadigan, Campus Relations Manager, Campus Operations &

Jeff Madsen, Cap Con Energy Systems Manager

SUBJECT: Electrical Construction Activity Notice

>From 4:30am to 7:00am Thursday, August 16th and Friday, August 17th, Campus Operations and a contractor will re-install and confirm operation of the electrical program which was tested over spring break; and will make final connections from new electrical equipment to the switch house.

We do not anticipate any disruption to campus but feel it prudent to inform Campus any time there is a remote chance that our work may cause a momentary disruption. If there were to be any disruption, it would be one blip of 10 to 20 seconds each night.

As an added precaution though, buildings fed by 100% standby power will be isolated and powered by CPS standby generators; thus not affected by this re-installation. See list below. Buildings fed by EWEB will also not be affected by this re-installation. See list below.

Make sure all sensitive electronics, including computers and printers, are turned off or disconnected, prior to this event. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete final preparations.

A few may receive this notice more than once as we send this to multiple distribution lists. For questions please contact Campus Operations at electric at uoregon.edu<mailto:electric at uoregon.edu> or call Jeff Madsen, 6-2256 or myself at 346 -2389 or 541 729- 2444.
