Dear Academic Leadership,

The OVPRI is currently soliciting proposals for the UO Foundation Trustee Excellence Grant<https://research.uoregon.edu/plan/find-funding/ovpri-internal-funding-opportunities/uo-foundation-trustee-excellence-grant>, a collaboration of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation and the Trustees of the University of Oregon Foundation.

Faculty from all academic disciplines across the university are invited to apply to this program. Awards will be made to a single faculty member who demonstrates a plan to advance high-impact scholarship and research in instances where faculty resources and/or external funding opportunities are limited.

The program supports research, scholarship, and/or creative activity by providing eligible faculty with up to $50,000 for research expenses, including travel, equipment, supplies, contractual services, shared facility use and graduate or undergraduate student research assistance. Summer stipends and course releases are allowed as per departmental policies and guidelines (departmental approval required at time of submission). We expect to fund two grants, to be distributed starting in July of 2023.

The deadline for receipt of proposals to this program is 11:59 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023.
