Dear Faculty,
Based on feedback from an initial presentation in November, we are offering a second opportunity to learn about the Inflation Reduction Act. Please join the Environment Initiative for a zoom presentation and discussion with Professors Greg Dotson and Alai Reyes-Santos on Tuesday, January 24 from 9:30-10:30am.
The Inflation Reduction Act was enacted in August 2022 and provides hundreds of billions of dollars for environmental and climate change-related projects, including environmental justice projects. Professor Dotson will present an overview of the Inflation Reduction Act and explain the opportunity it presents for UO faculty. Professor Reyes-Santos will discuss how to build environmental university-community partnerships that can be funded through the IRA.
Our hope is that by giving faculty as much information and lead time as possible, we can collectively think about partnerships we currently have or could develop in anticipation of funding becoming available.
Please RSVP at this link<https://oregon.yul1.qualtrics.com/jfe/preview/previewId/70272dd8-4b9f-47e6-9067-1ea3e4848bcd/SV_2gJEXJR6QuTY818?Q_CHL=preview&Q_SurveyVersionID=current> by noon on Friday, January 20th to attend. We will follow up with a confirmation email and link.
Best,
Greg and Alai
