Dear COE Faculty,

The EDUC graduate sequence, EDUC 641 Intro to Data Analysis in Education and the Social Sciences and EDUC 643 General Linear Model I, has been created and will now focus on R as an open source statistical package for analysis for doctoral students. For more information about R faculty can visit the following website

Given this shift in the doctoral sequence we anticipate that there may be faculty who wish to learn more about how to use R in order to improve their ability to advise students.  In the interest of supporting faculty we are planning to offer introductory R workshops for faculty. The first step in this process is to gauge interest in participation and scheduling. Please respond to the following survey by May 18th so we can begin planning the faculty workshop.
