Hello COE faculty,

I am forwarding this information from Rayne Vieger, our eLearning & OER Coordinator at the library. Open Oregon just announced the next round of OER grant funding for lower division courses. Interested faculty should work directly with their Departmental Grants Administrator<https://research.uoregon.edu/about/administrative-units/dga-lookup> and UO Sponsored Projects Services<https://research.uoregon.edu/about/administrative-units/sponsored-projects-services> on the application prior to submitting to Open Oregon. If they have any questions along the way, Rayne is here to help – please feel free to list Rayne (raynev at uoregon.edu<mailto:raynev at uoregon.edu>) as a point of contact if they want to talk about a potential proposal or need help.

Open Oregon Educational Resources seeks grant proposals that implement high-impact, culturally relevant/inclusive, collaborative projects in support of open education<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/opencontent.org/definition/__;!!C5qS4YX3!XpIj0XwUMovVxbMh8UWxASxjrvZYuDRiNmoAqDd3HNOUGGFQjv-PL0Dv1gwnzCiZ$> and reduced textbook costs in lower-division courses. The call for OER grant proposals is open through July 9. More info: https://openoregon.org/2021-oer-grants/<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/openoregon.org/2021-oer-grants/__;!!C5qS4YX3!X3tba0Nhwx3EFkwDSc2gDJmKhxZHVig5jKVmueu72qKoomO_rpmjaM75KAbxkI8O$>

Additionally, Rayne wanted me to pass on that Open Oregon received a $1.2 million grant<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/openoregon.org/new-funding-for-oer-in-oregon/__;!!C5qS4YX3!WLgZkXv7b98U4LEMRhQEbzP9E-8Vju1R545piG_C7W90B6Ckp9kxV5j-SxeCTsjl$> from the federal Governor's Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER), and they are using this in part to fund OER with an equity lens in HDFS and Sociology. This opportunity may be of particular interest to faculty teaching FHS courses. Contact Amy Hofer of Open Oregon (hofera at linnbenton.edu<mailto:hofera at linnbenton.edu>) if you're interested in authoring, adapting, peer reviewing, piloting, or sharing advice about these course materials.

If you have any questions about this opportunity, feel free to reach out to me or directly to Rayne, who again can be reached at raynev at uoregon.edu<mailto:raynev at uoregon.edu>.

Best,
Katherine
