coe-fac: Spring term updates from UO Libraries

Hello! I don't want to add to your email overload, but wanted to share a few quick announcements and reminders with you:


  *   If you are a user of the database PsycNET, I wanted to let you know that they have recently rebranded to APA PsycNET. The link on my research guides remains the same, but you will now find it under the letter "A" in our Database A-Z list.



  *   Looking ahead to summer term, please let me know if there any course assigned texts you'd like me to investigate for library electronic access. You may also want to think about adopting OER (open educational resources) for summer or fall term. Open Oregon will be offering several online workshops on reviewing OER in May, for which you can receive a $200 or $300 stipend for attending and reviewing an open textbook or other materials: https://openoregon.org/virtual-oer-review-workshops/


  *   The Undergraduate Library Research Award deadline is Friday, May 29th. Please encourage your undergraduate students to apply at https://library.uoregon.edu/ura You can find more information about eligibility at the link.



  *   Save the date for an Open Access Town Hall, happening Thursday, May 28th 3-4pm: https://uoregon.libcal.com/calendar/dreamlab/openaccesstownhall  The virtual Town Hall discussion will be hosted by The Senate Subcommittee on Open Access (of which Beth Harn is a member), which was formed to help the UO community become informed about key issues and trends in the Open Access movement.
