Hello COE faculty,
I'm sure you are getting deluged with many emails, but I wanted to quickly remind you of a few things related to UO libraries resources for remote teaching (as well as share a few new developments):

  * Our Library Services for Remote Teaching page (https://library.uoregon.edu/remote-teaching) continues to be updated with information on accessing library materials.
  * Because the library is physically closed to the public, there will not be physical course reserves this term. I have been contacting some of you directly who shared your reading list with the Duck store if I was able to find an ebook version of your course-assigned text that is available for libraries to purchase. Unfortunately many of the traditional textbook publishers (such as Pearson) do not sell ebooks to libraries, so I may not have contacted you even if you shared your reading list with the Duck store if that was the case. If you'd like me to check on ebook availability of a title, let me know. We have a bit of a backlog of ebook orders right now but we are trying to process them as quickly as possible. We are also offering a scanning service for course-assigned texts (limited to 20% of a title). You can find more information about that service here: https://library.uoregon.edu/borrowing/scanning-remote-teaching
  * Summit borrowing is currently suspended. ILL borrowing is still available but may be limited by university closures around the country. Material can be delivered to faculty at your office or at home. Our Access Services (circulation) department is working on changing our online systems to make this easier, but until then you can always contact them at ecirc at uoregon.edu<mailto:ecirc at uoregon.edu> with any questions.
  * If you would like help from within your Canvas site, you now have the option to add me as a "Librarian" to your Canvas course: https://researchguides.uoregon.edu/canvasintegration/adding_librarians

Lastly, let me know if I can help at all with synchronous (Zoom sessions) or asynchronous (Panopto tutorials, Canvas modules, etc.) library instruction for your classes. I am also available to students and faculty for online appointments using my calendar: https://uoregon.libcal.com/appointments/coelibrarian

Let me know if you have any questions or other ideas for how I can best support you this term!

Best,
Katherine
