The Vice President for Research & Innovation invites faculty from all academic disciplines to apply for the 2020 Incubating Interdisciplinary Initiatives (I 3) Award.
The purpose of the I 3 award is to foster new interdisciplinary research projects. Funding under this program is to be used to successfully develop a novel transdisciplinary line of research that leads to submission of one or more substantial proposals for extramural support for a longer-term project.
I 3 awards provide up to $50,000 in funding for a project period up to 2 years, and is open to all tenured and tenure-track faculty, as well as all NTTF faculty in the research associate and research professor classification with full time (1.0 FTE) appointments.
The deadline for the mandatory Letter of Intent to Submit, is March 23, 2020, 5 pm. The deadline for the full application is April 20, 2020, 5 pm.
Awardees will be notified in early June. Projects should begin by July 1, 2020.
