Hello COE faculty,
There is an event tomorrow morning to generate faculty interest in proposing innovative instructional projects for 2020-21 Williams grants (see information below). I am currently on the Williams Council Advisory Committee and encourage you to attend this event for more information and/or to go the links below and make a proposal for some funds for your innovative teaching project next year. You can connect with me sometime this month if you have more questions about the Williams proposals.
Thanks,
Julie

Tom and Carol Williams created the Williams Fund to support fresh thinking about teaching and learning at UO—especially ideas that push beyond the status quo and the faculty who do this exciting work. The Williams Council funds instructional grant proposals and bestows prestigious Williams fellowships through an annual process. In this showcase, we will learn about Williams-funded projects and discuss the selection criteria the Council uses and the types of work the Council has funded in the past. Faculty with nascent ideas for proposals will have a chance to discuss them in small groups and learn about the process of application/nomination.
Williams proposals<https://provost.uoregon.edu/williams-fund#proposal-submissions> and Williams Fellowship nominations<https://provost.uoregon.edu/williams-fund#fellow-nominations> are due February 1.
