coe-fac: UO Libraries Winter Term Reminders

Hello COE faculty,

I hope you had a good holiday break. With the start of a new term, I wanted to remind you of some of the ways the UO Libraries and I can support you:


*         Library instruction - I can do lessons on using library resources for your class. I'm happy to come to your classroom, or we can have your class in the library, size permitting.

*         Consultations - You or your students can always shoot me an email if you have any library-related questions, but I also keep an appointment calendar (http://uoregon.libcal.com/appointment/24599) you can refer your students to if they'd like more in-depth research help.

*         Collections - Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see added to our library collections. I'd be happy to consider your purchase requests for books, ebooks, children's/YA books, films, etc.

*         Workshops - The UO Libraries is experimenting with offering workshops. In addition to workshops on using Canvas, we are trying out workshops related to citation management tools (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote), data management, and digital scholarship. More information will be posted about these workshops soon, but I can tell you that citation management workshops will be offered in February. I'll share more information as it becomes available.
