coe-fac: Faculty Regalia Rental and Commencement Information

Hello,
For those of you who don't own your own regalia, the COE will cover the cost for your rental for our graduation ceremony.  Rental regalia includes standard black gown and the appropriate hood for your Alma Mater. To guarantee exact hood colors please use the link below to make your order by May 11.  After that time it may be necessary to substitute a hood with the closest available colors or Oregon colors.
On the order form, choose the Spring 2018 ceremony.  As the COE covers the cost of renting regalia for the ceremony, choose 'bill index' in the payment area and just put in CCFGEN or COE.

If you had any problems with your regalia last year, please let me know so we can make the necessary corrections.  If you have questions about what you should order, feel free to contact me or the Duck Store regalia expert Stacy Miller at smiller at uoregon.edu<mailto:smiller at uoregon.edu>.
The week prior to graduation, the Duck Store will deliver the regalia to HEDCO 130 and we'll get it distributed to your office.  On graduation day (Monday, June 18), we ask that you show up in your regalia at Matt Knight Arena at 3:15 pm (about 45 minutes before the ceremony begins).  There will be COE staff on hand to show you where to line up and walk in.  There will be a few presentations, we will hood our doctoral students and then the remaining students will cross the stage and shake the dean's hand while their names are read.  The ceremony lasts about 2 hours.
I'll be sending out more specific information with exact times and locations, but feel free to ask me any questions.  I also love talking with students about Commencement, so let me know if I can do any class visits or provide them any information.
