PRELIMINARY PROPOSAL DEADLINE: APRIL 13, 2018

The College of Education's Hope Baney Fund provides financial support for faculty presentations and outreach. Funding is available to host up to four guest speakers to the UO College of Education. Awards will be $3,000 each.

The Hope Baney Fund was established through the will of Hope Baney to support lectureships on significant issues affecting education and short term projects undertaken by College of Education faculty.

Eligibility: All College of Education faculty (FTE of .5 or greater) are eligible to apply for awards, both NTTF and Tenure Faculty.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE BASED ON MERITORIOUS FACTORS THAT INCLUDE:


*         Speakers which are not yet funded or have no other funding sources available

*         Speakers in a current area of priority or importance for the college

*         High visibility projects


Application Steps:

*         Complete and submit this proposal application by April 13, 2018.

*         Deans of the College of Education will notify applicants being considered by April 23, 2018.

*         Preliminary proposal applicants chosen will submit fuller proposals that:

o   Develop the design and implementation plans

o   Propose a plan to evaluate the initiative

o   Propose a detailed budget

*         Final applications will be due April 27, 2018. Applications will be reviewed and award decisions made by the deans of the College of Education. The COE Office of Development will review applications for alignment with the fund's intention.

*
Project funding will be announced by May 4, 2018.

*         The awardees will provide the COE Office of Development with necessary narrative and fiscal information.
