Developing International Learning Opportunities for Students

Organizing an international learning opportunity for your students is easier than you may think. Faculty are invited to learn about the process of initiating a study abroad program here at UO through the Global Engagement Office (GEO). Dr. Durán will share her experiences in developing a program in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico focused on bringing students from the COE to work in special education programs. The nuts and bolts of program development, working with GEO, and tips for leading a trip will be discussed. A GEO representative will co-present to provide information about the supports offered to faculty and to describe the formal process for program approval.
