Subject: deans-dirs: Announcing the new Sustainability Faculty Fellowship
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to direct your attention to the Office of Sustainability's newly announced<http://around.uoregon.edu/content/faculty-invited-apply-new-sustainability-fellowship> Sustainability Faculty Fellowship.
The Office of Sustainability is seeking faculty members who are interested in developing community-engaged learning opportunities around sustainability. The Sustainability Faculty Fellowship will provide opportunities to connect with prominent community partners and provide fellows with a network of colleagues (across discipline and rank) who seek to incorporate issues of sustainability into their curricula.
Faculty fellows will receive a $500 award and will take part in a three-day workshop discussing issues of sustainability and methods for designing community-engaged learning experiences. The workshop will feature site visits, field trips and guest presentations from governmental, non-profit, and for-profit organizations, giving fellows the opportunity to establish partnerships for community-engaged learning experiences. Fellows can receive an additional $500 award for submitting curriculum that has been revised or newly created to incorporate issues of sustainability.
Faculty from all disciplines and experience levels are encouraged to apply, particularly those with no previous experience in integrating sustainability in their curriculum or research. Interdisciplinary team applications will also be accepted.
For more information, please see this week's Around the O story<http://around.uoregon.edu/content/faculty-invited-apply-new-sustainability-fellowship> and the Office of Sustainability website<https://sustainability.uoregon.edu/programs-projects/active/sustainability-faculty-fellowship>.
Best wishes,
Susan and Doug
