coe-fac: Convocation on September 25th

Hello,
All faculty are invited to Convocation on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:30 pm at the Matthew Knight Arena.  Convocation calls together the whole campus community to celebrate the engaging, innovative, and intellectually curious environment in which our students, faculty, and staff thrive. It is one of the UO's proudest traditions and the culminating event of Week of Welcome. We hope you will join us in this campus-wide celebration of academic excellence!

New tenure-track faculty will be introduced at Convocation and are invited to join the UO's leadership and current faculty for a welcome reception prior to the ceremony. Please RSVP by September 15 by emailing Cora Bennett at corab at uoregon.edu<mailto:corab at uoregon.edu>.

During new faculty orientation (this is the UO orientation held on Sep. 21), we will have a photographer take portraits of those planning to attend Convocation. If you do not already have your own regalia, please order yours from the UO Duck Store<http://www.uoduckstore.com/regalia-rental-form>.  The UO will be covering the cost of any regalia rented.

All faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the processional at Convocation. Any member of the UO community who has a bachelor's degree or higher is invited to wear academic regalia for this event. You may place your order<http://uoduckstore.com/facultyinfo/regalia/renting-regalia/> directly with the UO Duck Store.  Again, the UO will cover regalia costs.
