coe-fac: Voting on COE Curriculum - courses and programs

Faculty,

It is the time of year when faculty participate in the curricular decisions of the COE. There are some changes so please read below....

PROGRAMS (MINOR, SPECIALIZATION, CERTIFICATES, MAJORS)
The approval of programs will be sent to you via email with a link for qualtrics. I will send a notice to faculty who have been identified with instructional voting rights that the programs are available for comment (Nov 19-25). These same faculty will be notified about a vote (Dec 1-7). I expect 4-5 programs.


COURSES
The new Courseleaf system is up and running. We are to use this system starting this fall so this means we do not get a trial period but just dive in. So please bear with us as we move this forward.  Currently this is only for courses.

The Curriculum Service Coordinators in your departments were trained by Shaun before he left to upload the courses. The Curriculum Committee has been using it to review the submitted courses.

The Courseleaf system sends a notice to faculty who have been identified with instructional voting rights that the courses are available for comment (Nov 19-25). You will receive an email for each course - currently expect 11-12 courses to be sent for vote. These same faculty will be notified about a vote (Dec 1-7). - NOTE all comments are public and will remain with the course once it leaves the COE.

I have shared information with the department heads about access and some tips for voting. For those interested I will host a couple of orientations to Courseleaf review and voting on 11/18/2015 12:00-1:00 and 4:00-5:00 11/24/2015 in HEDCO 230U.
