coe-fac: Clusters of Excellence Hiring Initiative

Dear COE Colleagues,

As many of you know, the Provost has announced a Faculty Cluster of Excellence Hiring Initiative. Details regarding that initiative may be found on the Provost's website<%20http:/provost.uoregon.edu/content/faculty-cluster-excellence-hiring-initiative>. This initiative is an EXCELLENT opportunity for the college to grow its tenure-line faculty and I strongly encourage you to consider submitting a proposal.

While proposals are due in the Provost's Office on May 1, all proposals involving COE faculty or units should be delivered to the Dean's Office by Friday, April 25. All proposals must be reviewed at the college level so that we can prepare an accompanying letter from the dean. Cross-college collaborations are highly encouraged by the Provost, which means an additional layer  of coordination. For those of you submitting cross-college proposals, please do keep this in mind as you prepare your proposal(s) for submission.

If you are planning to submit a proposal, please send an email to Shaun (haskins at uoregon.edu<mailto:haskins at uoregon.edu>) with a brief description of your proposal and the other collaborators involved.
