Dear Colleagues -

As you know, the UO recently ratified our first faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA).  We've been spending quite a bit of time in the Dean's Office gathering information regarding the details of implementation.

One way for you to stay updated is through the CBA Implementation website.  There is some new information posted on the web site concerning the faculty union contract implementation and the upcoming salary increase salary process.

 You can also sign up to receive an e-mail whenever a new post goes up on the site.   Check out -- http://uo-cba.uoregon.edu/

Assistant Dean Diane O'Keefe and the Business Managers will be working closely with your Department Head on the details of the CBA implementation.  In brief, there are a few upcoming changes that we wanted to highlight for you -

1.   1.    1.5% raises for all bargaining unit faculty retroactive  to January 2013  (to be received in November paychecks)
2.    2.    An additional 1.5%  raise retroactive to July 2013  (to be received in January 2014 paychecks)
3.    3.    One time payments of $350 for all bargaining unit faculty who were employed on October 9,  2013.  (prorated for part time faculty)
4.    4.   Merit raises.  You will have an opportunity to review the criteria for merit increases with your  Department Head.

Please feel free to check in with your Department Head and/or Business Manager as we work through all these details.
